  1. 1. Stroke Screening/Carotid Artery – This screens the left and right carotid arteries in the neck for plaque buildup and tests the bloodflow to the brain. The number one cause of stroke is linked to carotid artery blockage.
  2. 2. Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening – This screens for the existence of an aneurysm (enlarement) in the abdominal aorta. The vast majority of people who have an aneurysm have no symptoms.
  3. 3. Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening – This screens for plaque buildup in the legs. People with plaque in the legs have a 16x higher risk or heart attack or stroke.

  • Our ultrasound technician has over 20 years experience in screening for life threatening diseases. We don’t use “traveling” sonographers who may have significantly less experience.
  • All results are read and interpreted by Dr. Katherine Ludington, a board certified cardiologist and specialist in imaging the heart and circulation.
