Joan Feliz, NP
Joan brings North Coast Cardiology extensive cardiology experience with a holistic, respectful and thorough approach to your wellness.
Joan (pronounced Joe-On) has worked in the cardiac catheterization laboratory in the US Navy for 7 years prior to obtaining his nurse practitioner license. He has also worked as an inpatient RN at the Naval Medical Center for many years, helping train others in how to assess patients’ heart rhythm and well being while hospitalized. Finally, he has extensive echocardiogram training as a sonographer. His interests include health prevention such as cardiac rehabilitation guidance, weight management and stress management techniques.
Joan is an integral member of the medical team at North Coast Cardiology, and we are thrilled to have him at our practice. He runs our highly successful weight management program including helping teach heart healthy eating and if recommended, using medications such as Contrave or Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wygovy and Zepbound. A subset of patients will qualify to participate in a 10,000 patient clinical trial we are a clinical site for with Eli Lilly for the use of the newest GLP1 medication. Please ask us if you qualify at your next appointment.
If you join our practice, you will have a chance to meet all of our providers. In addition, if you are participating in our Weight Management Program, you will be working directly with Joan on a regular basis to help you accomplish your weight loss goals. We have over 500 patients in our program and we are thrilled to see the results (and to have the chance to take people off of their medications)!
